Cassiobury Park - 2.11.09

After hearing that the regular Parky had fallen off his bike on the way home on Friday I was again in the park today and most likely for the rest of this week. Todays highlight were the 5 Skylarks that flew over between 8-9am. Not very exciting I hear you say but from memory the previous the highest day count was 3 birds so 5 was amazing!

Other good counts were 18 Magpies by the Rustic bridge, 86 Jackdaws flying West over the park before disapearing into Whippendell Woods. 2 Grey Wagtails with their Pied cousins along the river and in the paddling pools and 8 Siskins and 9 Lesser Redpolls made it quite a good day.
