Hilfield Reservoir - 12.12.09

A noon start saw me heading towards Tring Reservoirs but the A41 was shut at the Chesham turn off and the minor roads were chocka block so instead I headed for Hilfield Reservoir. Unfortunately no Mediterranean Gulls were on show in the roost but 3 Goldeneyes (1 male) were my first of the Winter. A Buzzard flew over and put up 16 Lapwings from nearby fields which didn't know which way to fly!
